A BatchData alternative — when you would rather not run the pull yourself
The difference is not really the data, it is who sits at the keyboard. One model gives you a platform and an API; the other gives you a file.
What a self-serve data platform does
BatchData belongs to the category of property-data and skip-tracing platforms: you bring a list or build one, run it through their system, and get appended contact information back. There is usually an API, bulk upload, and a dashboard you learn.
We are not going to quote its pricing, plan structure or match rates here, because those change and a stale figure on our page helps nobody. Check its own site for anything specific.
What you are buying is capability and control — you can run whatever you can describe, whenever you like, as often as you like, and wire it into your own stack.
What we do instead
You pick a county and a list type — tax lien, tax delinquent or pre-foreclosure — or you send us addresses you already have. We run the pull and the trace and hand back a CSV.
We keep cell and wireless numbers only. Landlines and VoIP are dropped before you are billed, so the count you pay for is the count you can actually text.
Every file runs against litigator and DNC data before delivery, and known TCPA litigators are removed outright rather than flagged. Entities are filtered out too: an LLC, a trust or a county forfeiture case is not a person you can call, so it never reaches your file.
If the county holds fewer records than you ordered, you get everything it holds and the difference goes back to your balance automatically. There is no topping the file up with a different list type to hit a promised number.
Which one you actually want
If you are running volume every week, have someone whose job is the data, or want to wire tracing into your own software, a platform is the right shape and you should use one. That is a real operating model and it works.
If you pull a county or two a month and the platform is a tool you log into, forget the login for, and re-learn each time, you are paying for capability you do not use. A finished file costs less attention.
Plenty of wholesalers run both — a platform for the systematic work, a done-for-you pull when they want a market they do not normally touch.

Questions people ask
Can I still send my own list rather than have you pull the county?
Yes. Order for the number of addresses in your file and send it over. Anything we cannot match to a mobile number is credited back, so you are only charged for rows that came back with a number.
Do I get an API?
No. This is a file, delivered to your account. If you need programmatic tracing inside your own software, a platform with an API is genuinely the better fit and we would tell you so.
What format is the file?
A CSV with owner name, property address, mailing address where it differs, county, list type and a mobile number. It imports into a dialer or CRM without reformatting.
